Who is Don S. Mitchell?
I have been a resident of Orange County for 18 years and have lived in Central Florida for more than 23 years . I have spent more than a decade working in the public sector and believe that our courts have not been as progressive in addressing service issues that are inherent with the growth in our county. I would even venture to say that our court system has been reactive opposed to being proactive.
My Criminal Justice service has given me the opportunity to interact extensively with the Orange County Courts.
This first hand experience has enabled me to have a shared vision with you, the voters, on the issues and needs of our court system.

Where Don Stands:
Don believes in implementing changes that would eliminate the high turn over rate of experienced trial clerks and employees. In addition the courts have been plagued with computer systems that have traditionally not met the needs of the courts or the public, Don would identify the source of these problems, question why are we changing systems so often at tax payers expense and ensure the procurement process is fair and open in awarding technology contracts.
